THE PURPOSE of United Methodist Women
When women unite, bold and courageous actions happen. The organized unit of UNITED METHODIST WOMEN is be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Any woman who accepts the purpose and is willing to participate in the organization through prayer, giving, service, and/or use of special abilities, may become a member of the United Methodist women.
The circles of the United Methodist Women are for serving the needs of each individual person through love, fellowship, and study to further our belief in God through Jesus Christ. We meet together for further worship, study, programs, and projects, knowing one another as United Methodist Women. In His spirit, He sends us out as United Methodist Women teaching others that He is God, through service and mission.
My prayers, that I may experience growth and renewal in my relationship to God and to my sisters and brothers; my time, that I may respond to human need through study, action, and reflections; my gifts, through United Methodist Women, that I may share in the global ministries of the church.
